Consider purchasing the bronze or silver package as it contains information which will assist in your G1 test. Furthermore, G1 specific information will be provided which will assist in passing the G1 with success. Once passed, you will be able to quickly get behind the wheel and work towards the G2 road test. The silver package will also include the G2 test with an insured car provided for the test.
This is a very common and valid question. Many students are swayed by the associated costs and decide to save money and just go for the test. The problem arises when the student finds difficulty in the test and fails in some cases. The result is a repeat of the test along with paying the fees again. Driving helps ensure you pass the first time. Furthermore, purchasing the packages is a clear benefit when it comes time to get insurance for your first vehicle. As a new G2 or G driver with no experience, the insurance cost can become ridiculous. The savings in insurance that you get when you present a driver school certificate more that covers the cost of any of our packages and usually within the first year of coverage.
In-class lessons are provided three ways: classrooms, online learning and virtual classroom sessions. If completing a full-course, it's mandatory that your in-class lessons be completed to graduate the Road Ready program. Availability depends on provincial requirements.
All sessions have breaks. If attending a course with a teacher, each session will have a 15-minute break. If attending a full day of class, there will be a lunch break in between your two sessions. If completing an online program, students may complete the program at their own pace.
Call your local centre and one of our agents will help you choose a date and time that's convenient for you and reschedule. If you have a busy schedule or can't find a course that works with your schedule, please check our online learning programs.
Yes, you can start your in-class lessons and/or eLearning a couple of months before turning 16. Driving lessons can only be completed after you have begun the graduated licensing program in your province.

Quality. We are not looking to simply take your money and send you on your way. We pride ourselves in giving the best education. We want you to leave our schools as confident drivers. Our families and friends will be sharing the roads with our students so it only makes sense to ensure whomever we send out there is not a danger to themselves and others. That being said, there are very schools that match our cost or are cheaper.
Most Road Ready instructors drive newer model sedans. For more details, or if you're looking for a specific type of vehicle, please contact your scheduled Road Ready driver.
Novice drivers have to use their instructor's vehicle for their driving instruction. It's safer to use your instructor's vehicle as they're equipped with a dual-brake system for training.
Offerings differ from centre to centre. Please contact your local Road Ready centre for their availability.

Each YD program fulfils provincial requirements for beginner driver education and the graduated licensing processes. Whether the mandatory hours are sufficient enough depends on the learning skills of each driver as an individual. If you feel that you would benefit from increased time behind the wheel with an instructor, we offer additional individual driving lessons. Your instructor can help you assess your skill level and provide more information. The more you've driven, the more confident you will be when it comes to your road test. It's our recommendation that you practice at home in between lessons as well.
Your Driver's Licence History (DLH) provides proof of successful completion and graduation from a beginner driver education course and is widely recognized by the insurance industry. Additional factors affecting insurance rates are areas in which you live/drive, make of your vehicle, and your age.
You don't always have to have your classroom training completed before starting in-car. In most areas, you can get started in-car as long as you've begun your theory training and hold a novice licence (G1, beginners, learners etc.) Please contact your local YD centre to learn more.
If your city is not listed on the list of driving centres, we still may be able to provide driving lessons to you. As we add more online and virtual programs, we're able to reach students in more areas. There may also be a location nearby that picks up in your area for driving lessons. For more information, please contact the nearest city that is listed on our website.
